The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka was in 2010's 'Badmash Company" together with Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang, Vir Das. This movie was met with mixed reviews. Anushka appeared alongside Ranveer in the film "Band Baaja Baaraat' in which she portrayed a Punjabi middle-class girl who launched her own venture. The film was praised by critics, and was considered a sleeper success. Anushka's contract to make three films under Yash Raj Films was completed with the Band Baaja Baraat.
